| Location: South Africa » Free State » Vrede After a dispute on where to establish a new township was settled in 1863, first European landowners of this area named it Vrede (peace). Today Vrede finds itself at the hub of a 10 000 ha region of agricultural plenty, including the Free State’s largest stock fairs of maize, wheat, mutton, wool, beef, dairy products and poultry. The beautiful of Vrede, surrounded by a vast agricultural region, occupies a valley in the north-eastern corner of Free State.
