The town is situated in a rich agricultural area that produces barley, wheat, onions and wool. Caledon is also famous for it’s abundant fynbos and South Africa’s national bird, the Blue Crane is found in this area. Banks: Absa, Standard bank, Boland (ATM). HISTORICAL VIEW Caledon Museum Is housed in two buildings, the old Masonic Lodge and a Victorian house. Exhibits reflect the heritage and development of the Caledon community. Holy Trinity Church Designed by Sophie Gray and consecrated in 1855. The church is still in use. Museum Shop Situated in the Town Hall. Features home-baked goods, arts and crafts, antiques and other bric-a-brac, as well as an art gallery. NATURE Victoria Wild Flower Garden & Reserve Spectacular fynbos (most species are represented) can be seen along a 10 km hiking trail leading to Window Rock. There are numerous water features, lawns, picnic spots and pathways throughout the 56 ha of indigenous trees and plants.
