Margate Place Guest House, with its excellent position in the beachfront area of Port Elizabeth, offers great personal and friendly service with quality four star rated accommodation, all recently renovated.

Our success has been proven by a very high occupancy over the last 19 years. Through a survey done by the local tourism office, we were voted Port Elizabeth's most tourist friendly Guest House.

Guests can choose between the Bed and Breakfast or self catering option and we welcome families.

Margate Place Guest House is situated in a quiet street, very close to popular swimming beaches, restaurants and all major beachfront attractions. The Boardwalk Casino and entertainment complex is also within easy walking distance. We are on the main bus route and only 10 minutes away from the airport. For golf enthusiasts the only true links golf course is on our doorstep.

Each guest unit is individually decorated and has its own private barbeque courtyard area with braai facilities, an en-suite bathroom, fully equipped kitchenette, hairdryer, iron, telephone, wireless internet and DSTV, (M-Net, SuperSport etc). All guest units are very private and are serviced daily.

We offer our guests either the Bed and Breakfast or Self-Catering option. A scrumptious buffet breakfast is served in our breakfast room. All guest units are serviced daily and we also offer a laundry service and fax facility.

Directions

From the N2: Follow the “Settlers Way” sign and then stay on the M4 all the way to the beachfront. Turn right into 6th Avenue next to the Marine Hotel. We are situated on the first corner to your right. From the airport: Turn right into “Alister Miller”. At the traffic lights, turn right and follow “La Roche” to the beachfront (McDonalds). Turn right into “Marine Drive” and follow the road until you reach the Marine Hotel. Turn right into 6th avenue (immediately after Marine Hotel). We are on the corner of 6th Avenue and Margate Street.
